What you are looking for is regional accreditation; this is the gold standard when it comes to accreditation. There are six regional accrediting bodies; any school that you are considering should be accredited by one of them. There are enough of these schools that there is no reason to consider a school that doesn't meet this standard.

Unfortunately being regionally accredited doesn't ensure that the school you choose is a good school.
