An online MBA from a prestigious school can cost well over a hundred thousand dollars. The problem is that the online program will never have the same reputation as the on campus degree does. That is just a fact of life so it probably isn't worth it to spend a lot of money to get an online degree from a prestigious university. An online MBA from a state university is probably a better option; it will give you a good quality education at a reasonable price.

It is also important to keep in mind that there are other business degrees available online besides the MBA. In a lot of cases these degrees may give you an education that is better suited to your career goals than an MBA would provide. This is especially true if you want to work in a more specialized area of business like accounting or finance.
