The big thing is to make sure that the school is regionally accredited; this is the gold standard when it comes to accreditation and any school that you are considering should have this. When it comes to technology degrees you are going to want to make sure that the course you choose is ABET accredited. This is going to be required if you want to be licensed to work as an engineering technologist. Unlike with other accreditations that are for the school as a whole ABET accredits individual programs. That means that at a particular school some programs may be accredited and others aren't so you will need to check this for every program you are considering.
